Supporting the next generation at emsys renewables

Commitment to the skilled workers of tomorrow and the families of today

Whether it’s the Future Day for the older kids or holiday childcare for the little ones – at emsys, supporting the next generation is a top priority!

On April 3rd, we welcomed 21 students aged 10 to 14 to emsys for Germany’s nationwide Future Day. Under the motto Discovering Renewable Energies, 12 girls and 9 boys gained exciting insights into our world of work. They experimented with photovoltaics, learned the basics of programming, and even took on the challenge of solving power shortages – with curiosity, creativity, and great team spirit.

Shortly afterward, it was time for the younger ones: During the spring break, we once again offered holiday childcare for the children of our employees. For one week, up to 18 children aged 3 to 11 were cared for by two dedicated supervisors. The program included painting Easter eggs, planting sunflowers, making ice cream, launching water-powered rockets – and, of course, plenty of sliding fun during the lunch break!

A particular highlight of this week was a hands-on workshop organized by our colleagues, where the children built small circuits with solar cells and wind turbines. In a playful way, they learned what conditions are needed to generate electricity – and why sun and wind are so important for our future.
