FCS Open Source Sponsoring 2025
Open Source plays a central role in how we build, collaborate, and innovate. This year, our FCS team (forecasting services) once again selected a group of projects whose work empowers our developing efforts and the tech community in general. In 2025 we will support within our forecasting area seven Open Source projects or individuals with a total of 3,000 EUR.
Workshop with Quadra Energy on trading of renewable energies
The agenda included a joint workshop focusing on optimising trading processes for renewable energies. Following a valuable exchange between two dedicated teams, with many ideas on data, new tools, algorithms and operational efficiency in trading, we are eager to put the constructive insights from the workshop into practice.
emsys receives the Oldenburg Business Award 2025
In a festive ceremony on October 7, 2025, the founders of energy & meteo systems, Dr. Ulrich Focken and Dr. Matthias Lange, were honored with the Oldenburg Business Award at the EWE Forum / Alte Fleiwa. The award is presented annually by the business association DER KLEINE KREIS e.V. and recognizes companies that make an outstanding contribution to strengthening the Weser-Ems economic region.
emsys grid services at the industry event “Treffpunkt Netze”
Once again this year, emsys grid services will be represented at Treffpunkt Netze on October 7 and 8 in Berlin. We look forward to engaging directly with grid operators and energy industry professionals. At the center of attention is our grid platform, which plays a key role in meeting current energy industry requirements.
Third “Door Opener Day” on Renewable Energy –
emsys opens its doors to young explorers
Last Friday, on holiday October 3rd, things got lively at emsys once again: forty children aged 5 to 11 discovered just how exciting green energy can be. Inspired by the German TV show “Sendung mit der Maus”, we opened our doors under the motto “Open Doors with the Mouse” – giving curious young researchers a hands-on introduction to the world of renewable energy.
