Oldenburg/London, 24 February 2026 – Statkraft, Europe's largest producer of renewable energy, and emsys VPP have reached an important milestone in their collaboration. Following the successful connection of the 300 MW Thurrock battery storage facility in 2025, emsys VPP is now enabling Statkraft to manage a gigawatt-scale portfolio of installed battery capacity in the United Kingdom.

How can Panama strengthen its forecasting systems to reliably integrate growing shares of solar and wind power? This was the key question energy & meteo systems addressed in a consulting project commissioned under the Euroclima Programme, implemented together with GIZ and in close cooperation with key stakeholders in Panama.

Oldenburg/Düsseldorf, 6 February 2026 – emsys VPP and Pure Energy are further expanding their long-standing cooperation and are now also jointly entering the balancing power market. The two companies have been working together successfully in direct marketing since 2016 and are now reaching the next milestone in their partnership.

From 10-12 February our team will be in Essen in Hall 6 / 6F122 to share insights and discuss smart IT solutions for power traders, grid operators, and plant operators. Stop by our stand and explore our high-precision solar and wind power forecasts, the emsys grid platform for predictive congestion management and our Virtual Power Plant solutions (SaaS)!

Open Source plays a central role in how we build, collaborate, and innovate. This year, our FCS team (forecasting services) once again selected a group of projects whose work empowers our developing efforts and the tech community in general. In 2025 we will support within our forecasting area seven Open Source projects or individuals with a total of 3,000 EUR.
